Our Teams

Our Missions Team   Our church exists to help people come to Jesus ...

Our Missions Team is two-fold  - Domestic and Foreign    The Domestic Missions Team  plans, promotes and oversees all bridge events, evangelistic training activities, and missions projects. They are to organize whatever it takes to reach our community and world for Christ through such activities as the backpack program, rake and run, and mission trips within the US.     The Foreign Missions Team serve as liaisons between the congregation and our missionaries sharing prayer needs and news; as well as, meeting needs through additional gifts.

Our Membership Team   Our church exists to help people connect with His people ...

Just as no family is perfect, no local church is either. Yet by God’s grace we strive to live up to our high calling as one local expression of the family of God. It is our aim to be a loving, caring community of faith.  The membership team is assigned the task of assimilating new members, helping our members connect with one another in the body, and of leading and overseeing all fellowship events.   The Bible says that once we come to know God’s Son, we are re-connected to God!  But this is not all. We are also reconnected to God’s people! The Bible puts it this way, “in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Rom. 12:5).   The membership team works closely with our WIC (Women in the Church) committee.

Our Christian Education Committee   Our church exists to help people conform to His likeness ...

The Christian Education Committee is called to lead our members into deeper spiritual commitment and help them to develop spiritual maturity.   Sunday school, nursery, vacation Bible school, Bible studies junior church are some of the offerings available.  Check the Get Connected page and the News & Events page to find more information on some of these opportunities.

Our Worship Team   Our church exists to help people commune with His Father ...

A blend of contemporary and traditional music makes our worship experience unique.  We utilize a variety of musical instruments including keyboards, guitar, sax, drums, organ, and flute to accompany us in singing the praises of our Triune God.   Check out What to Expect to find out what a typical Sunday morning worship is like.      "Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!" Psalm 95:1

Our Ministry Team   Our church exists to help people commit to serving in His kingdom ...

As we commit to serving in His kingdom, we minister to the needs of our congregation and community; we allow people to utilize and discover their God given gifts for the furtherance of His kingdom, and their life purpose.   Opportunities to Get Equipped include such events as: The Art of Marriage Study, Weekend to Remember Conference, Stepping Up - Study Group for Men.  Opportunities to serve include working with Camp Pinnacle, Coming Alongside Community Relief, City Mission, Life Savers of Gloversville.   We also have opportunities for meeting unforeseen needs that arise in our congregation and community.  Whether a ride is needed to a doctor’s appointment, a meal provided, groceries purchased, or a yard cleaned-up, our goal is to help meet the needs that God brings to us. By helping those who find themselves in less fortunate times, we can extend God's love.   Check out the Get Connected page and the News & Events page for additional information about when these opportunities are taking place.
